Job Description:
Regional Producer
Position Overview:
The Regional Producer is a key sales role within vQuip. This individual will develop deep expertise in their assigned region, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities within the watercraft and powersports rental markets. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling our in-house insurance products to watercraft rental businesses and powersports rental outfitters, while also wholesaling third-party products sourced by our management team. Success in this role requires a strategic approach to market development, exceptional relationship-building skills, a commitment to meeting aggressive production quotas and the ability to quickly assimilate and learn new concepts.
Essential Functions:
As a Regional Producer, you will play a critical role in driving new business acquisition and fostering relationships directly with businesses and distribution channels in your region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Regional Expertise:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of your region, including potential clients and agents, regional legal and regulatory environment, and the unique opportunities and challenges within your region.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Develop and execute strategies to identify, qualify, and engage potential customers within your region. Utilize a combination of market research, networking, and outreach activities to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Sales Execution:
Conduct consultative sales presentations to highlight the value of our safety, risk management, and insurance solutions. Tailor product recommendations to meet the unique needs of each prospect.
- Revenue Generation:
Achieve or exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of our business.
- Relationship Management:
Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients and agents, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty through consistent follow-ups and exceptional service.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with Lead Producer, underwriting, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless sales closing, onboarding, policy issuance, and customer service delivery. Contribute to a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Market knowledge and Expertise:
Quickly learn and continuously improve your knowledge of the watercraft and outdoor rental risk markets while developing a strong understanding of the risks faced by businesses in the industry and how our product set addresses their challenges.
- Customer Education:
Provide expert advice and education to clients regarding coverage options, risk management strategies, and claims processes to empower them in their decision-making.
- Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the company CRM system to facilitate transparent reporting and pipeline forecasting.
- Event Participation:
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking gatherings to increase brand awareness and build professional networks.
- Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the evolution of our direct sales approach by providing feedback on client needs, market demands, and product opportunities.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- 1 – 5 years of outstanding performance in a sales role (not necessarily in insurance)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and regularly meets deadlines
- Exceptional communication, decision making and problem solving skills
- Quickly processes information and accepts responsibility for results
- Highest level of customer relations, sales management and negotiating skills to effect profitable results
- Highest level of interpersonal skills to facilitate team building and resource management
- Proficient with office productivity software tools including Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google Sheets, PDF tools, and email management platforms
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered
- Ability to travel extensively. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
