Director of Marketing Role:

As the Director of Marketing for Red Cedar, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to position Red Cedar as the “builder of choice” within the new home market space.

This role will drive market research initiatives, oversee digital and traditional marketing strategies, and will create point of sale material to support the sales team.

Additionally, the Director of Marketing will manage the annual marketing/advertising budget, analyze performance metrics, and will collaborate closely with sales and other departments. We are looking for a pro-active, visionary leader who can create and implement strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement in the competitive new home market space.

Essential Duties | Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Define, develop and implement marketing strategies that align with Red Cedar’s goals and target audience. This includes, but not limited to, conducting market research to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Brand Development: Establish and promote the Red Cedar brand, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels, and creating a strong online and offline presence.
  • Lead Generation: Develop, implement and monitor lead generation for each medium, such as social media, content marketing, and traditional advertising.
  • Digital Marketing & Social Media: Oversee online marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, PPC advertising, and social media campaigns.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content (including blog posts, videos, and brochures) that highlight features and benefits of our communities and our homes.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to create promotional material and point of sale tools that help drive new home sales.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships within the community and participate in local events to enhance brand visibility and foster goodwill.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget to optimize spending and ROI for various marketing initiatives.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance using metrics and KPIs, and adjusting strategies based on results.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the marketing team, mentor team members, and ensure all marketing activities are executed effectively.
  • Other duties assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to evaluate and differentiate between high-impact and ineffective creative concepts
  • Expertise in graphic design tools, including Illustrator, InDesign, and similar platforms
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and stay organized across multiple tasks
  • Strong vision for the future, with the ability to anticipate trends in both the housing market and marketing industry
  • Adaptability to modify strategies based on changing market conditions or feedback, especially in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Results-driven focus, with a dedication to improving marketing performance through measurable outcomes
  • Passion for home construction and real estate, providing a deeper understanding of market trends and audience needs

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8:00 am – 5 pm
  • Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week

  • 401k with a Safe Harbor match formula of 100% of employee contributions up to 3% of their compensation, then 50% matching contribution of the next 2% of employee’s compensation

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

  • Charlotte, NC: Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (required).

Work Environment:

  • Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, are used in this role.
