Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead a Product Lead go-to-market strategy for our SaaS platform. This leader will oversee product positioning, messaging, and execution across Fastbreak.ai’s portfolio, including our expanding presence in youth sports technology. The Director of Product Marketing will work cross-functionally with product management, sales, and customer success to deliver compelling narratives and campaigns that drive customer adoption, retention, and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive product marketing strategies, including market analysis, product positioning, and competitive differentiation.
- Collaborate with product management and sales teams to define value propositions, key messaging, and product launch plans for SaaS offerings in sports technology and youth sports.
- Manage the go-to-market process for new product launches, ensuring effective communication and training for internal teams and customers.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and market trends across both professional and youth sports industries.
- Lead customer insights research, persona development, and segmentation efforts to optimize product-market fit.
- Drive marketing campaigns that clearly communicate product value and benefits to target audiences, including sports leagues, youth sports organizations, and consumers.
- Collaborate with digital marketing, PR, and content teams to craft compelling, data-driven marketing campaigns.
- Monitor product performance, user engagement, and competitive landscape to continuously refine product marketing strategies.
- Serve as the product expert and advocate in external-facing presentations, events, and partnerships.
- Partner with sales and business development to develop customer case studies, product demos, and marketing collateral.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within SaaS, sports technology, or consumer products.
- Proven success in launching and scaling SaaS platforms, with a strong understanding of B2B and B2C dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience working in the sports industry, particularly in sports technology or youth sports markets.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven software and its impact on sports operations.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of developing impactful marketing messages and campaigns.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and pivot strategies as necessary.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Passion for sports and a deep understanding of youth sports ecosystems is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
