As the Manager of Arena Events, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, communication, and execution of Front of House Operations for events at Spectrum Center. You will be responsible for establishing strong interdepartmental relationships, and serving as the primary liaison between internal teams, external clients, and the facility. This position requires a proactive approach to event coordination, with a focus on delivering seamless experiences for both staff and attendees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Under administrative direction, the Manager of Arena Events is responsible for the coordination and arrangements for scheduled arena events
- Ensure both back of house and front of house spaces are ready for each event within Spectrum Center
- Serve as the liaison between the internal departments, external clients and the facility regarding planning and execution of events within Spectrum Center
- Prepare and distribute Event Outlines as well as event recaps as assigned/necessary
- Plan, execute and communicate with internal departments to ensure efficient and safe entrance into the building for all events, as well as communicate needed adjustments
- Responsible for ensuring that all tenant requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to
- Act as Manager on Duty for assigned events
- Liaison between event promoters and stagehands to ensure proper staffing and communication
- Create and communicate adjustments as event needs and requirements change
- Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence as necessary
- Create, maintain, and update event files containing comprehensive event information, i.e. event outline, AutoCad drawings, event expenses, staffing expenses, equipment inventory, etc.
- Work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, you will have or demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- A minimum of four years’ supervisory experience and event coordination experience required
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including word, excel, power point and Microsoft Teams
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Adaptability – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent changes
- Must be customer service oriented and have strong communication skills
- Interpersonal skills –listens to others, works well in a team environment
- Ability to attend all home Hornets games and Spectrum Center events
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays
