Charlotte Center City Partners is hiring a Digital Media Specialist to shape the digital voice and amplify the stories of two of Charlotte’s most vibrant neighborhoods—Uptown and South End.
If you’re passionate about social media, storytelling, and the power of place-based community, and you thrive at the intersection of collaboration, creativity, and strategy, this role is for you.
About the Role
As part of our collaborative marketing team, you’ll be responsible for creating platform-specific content that engages local audiences, supports our partners, and elevates the brand presence of our neighborhoods. You’ll also support high-profile events, collaborate with influencers, and help us measure and improve our impact. This is a highly creative, hands-on role with real impact on how people experience and engage with Charlotte’s urban core.
Why You’re Perfect for This Role:
- You’re creative and understand storytelling: You enjoy tackling creative challenges and know how to translate strategic goals and event goals into compelling content that resonates on social media. You’re always looking for fresh angles to bring stories to life.
- You know what’s now and what’s next: You stay current with social media trends and understand what works now versus what worked a few years ago. You have thoughtful opinions on how social storytelling has evolved and continues to change.
- You understand brand: You’re excited to contribute to our brand stories through original content creation and testing new formats that engage audiences around our mission.
- You’re organized and reliable: You appreciate good systems—spreadsheets, content trackers, and meeting deadlines. Whether you’re coordinating with influencers, creating original content, or working with external partners, you know how to manage projects and deliver results.
- You’re mission-driven: You connect with our mission and want to create stories that build community and make a meaningful impact for Uptown, South End, and Charlotte.

- Digital Content: Work with Brand Manager to create digital content for website and newsletters for Uptown, South End, and ancillary brands that deepens engagement and drives web traffic, aligned with seasonal campaigns and strategic priorities.
- Brand Alignment & Voice Consistency: Ensure all content reflects each brand’s voice while maintaining overall alignment with CCCP’s goals and messaging.
- Community Management & Engagement: Engage with our social media community across all channels and brands.
- Engage IRL: Attend stakeholder content meetings, CCCP events, media nights, and
VIP events for businesses in Uptown and South End.
- Trend Awareness & Platform Agility: Stay on top of social trends, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices to ensure content remains fresh, timely, and competitive.
- Influencer Partnerships: Identify and manage influencer collaborations that showcase the people, places, and experiences that make Uptown and South End shine. Track deliverables and evaluate impact.
- Performance Tracking & Optimization: Conduct monthly social media audits and analyze performance against KPIs. Prepare and present quarterly reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
