Duties & Responsibilities
At Verum, we operate in an ensemble structure with a centralized client service model, which includes our investments team. As an investment analyst, you will gain valuable exposure to the investment philosophies and research strategies of the firm. The following responsibilities are expected in this role:
- Learn trading software (Eclipse) and serve as backup trader for the firm
- Become an expert in Orion, manage communication in support app, and perform batch reporting
- Collaborate with the investment team to conduct research supporting investment portfolios, develop and maintain asset allocation models, create client/marketing collateral, and participate in due diligence meetings with investment managers
- Act as liaison between Verum and our investment research partner, Conway
- Be fluent in Verum’s alternative investments and manage reporting of investments as data is released
- Review portfolio allocations with Investment Policy Statements (IPS) targets, assist the advisory team with the creation and updating of IPS, and coordinate investment strategy changes
- Participate in weekly investment committee meetings – document discussions, coordinate topics, update capital markets presentations, and assist on ad-hoc projects (e.g. manager updates and searches)
- Run risk / portfolio analysis for client meetings, and act as investment expert in client meetings as needed

Experience & Expectations
- Bachelors degree with emphasis on industry-related coursework
- Desire to obtain a CFA
- Professional experience in wealth management or investment management a plus
- Thrives in team-based, collaborative environment
- Tech savvy and strong Excel skills preferred
- Experience with any of the following systems is a plus: Orion, Kwanti, Ycharts, Morningstar
