Your Job:

Feetures is looking for a strategic, detail-driven Brand Communications Manager to elevate the voice of the brand across every touchpoint.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for crafting compelling written content and ensuring consistent brand storytelling across campaigns, product launches, digital channels, and retail communications.

This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role that partners closely with Product, E-comm, Sales, Retail Marketing, and external creative partners.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a disciplined storyteller, and a guardian of brand voice who can translate our positioning into clear, inspiring, persuasive narratives. If you thrive at the intersection of brand, content, and communication—and love bringing ideas to life through language—this role is meant for you.

Responsibilities:

Brand voice & messaging leadership

  • Serve as guardian of the Feetures brand voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and emotional resonance across every written touchpoint.
  • Develop and evolve campaign/product messaging frameworks (big idea, key messages, support points, proof/reasons-to-believe, tone) that guide all channel executions.
  • Create high-visibility brand storytelling assets including campaign narratives, manifestos, scripts, and launch messaging.

· Go-to-market briefs & campaign support

  • Own the written content sections of GTM briefs for brand campaigns, product launches, and retail activations—core positioning/messaging and channel adaptations.
  • Support naming and messaging for new innovations, collections, and collaborations.

· Copy creation across channels

  • Write compelling copy for web/e-comm (PLP/PDPs, landing pages, digital storytelling modules), email/SMS, paid media, and organic social in partnership with channel owners.
  • Write product positioning, launch messaging, packaging copy, and in-store/retail communication.

· Copy governance & approvals

  • Own final copy approval across all channels and brand touchpoints, ensuring voice, strategy, and claims remain aligned and consistent.
  • Run the cross-channel copy review process, setting workflow, deadlines, and stakeholder coordination to keep execution moving quickly and on brand.

· Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, E-commerce, Sales, and Retail Marketing to translate technical features into clear customer benefits and aligned messaging.
  • Ensure all product and performance claims are accurate, substantiated, and consistently represented across channels.
  • Collaborate with Creative/Design to align copy with visual expression; provide briefs and feedback to freelance writers and agency partners as needed.

· Performance mindset & planning

  • Use channel insights and results to test, iterate, and improve messaging over time while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Own (or co-own) the brand communications/editorial calendar aligned to campaign and launch priorities.

· Retail/partner storytelling

  • Develop retailer-facing storytelling and messaging toolkits (sell-in narratives, retail training content, launch kits) that translate brand strategy into partner-ready assets.

· Lean-team flexibility

  • Jump in on additional brand and communications needs as they arise in a fast-moving environment, bringing strong judgment and proactive solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 4–7 years of experience in copywriting, brand content, communications, or similar roles (agency or in-house).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across short-form and long-form content.
  • Experience working closely with brand, product, and digital teams.
  • Ability to translate technical features into simple, benefit-led consumer language.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving and communication.
  • Experience with consumer brands—especially in performance, active lifestyle, or apparel.
  • Background in retail or DTC marketing.
  • Familiarity with UX writing and digital content best practices.
  • Experience briefing or managing freelancers and agencies.
  • A passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyle a plus.

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life & Disability insurance
  • 401(K) with company match

Company Paid holidays and PTO:

  • Feetures offers 20 PTO days which are available to you on day one of employment and are available to all employees, no matter your role. After working at Feetures for 5 years, your PTO days will increase to 25 days. These days can be used for vacations, appointments and sick days.
