What you’ll do as Media Strategist:
- Become a Media Maven: Serve as the primary media expert for our clients, forging strong relationships and strategically aligning media efforts with their objectives.
- Strategize with Insight: Utilize in-depth research on media consumption, media trends and audience behaviors to craft strategies that precisely target client goals.
- Win Approvals: Use your persuasive communication to secure buy-in on media plans, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with our vision.
- Navigate Authorizations: Skillfully manage media authorizations, ensuring projects stay within budget while gaining necessary approvals.
- Partner with Buyers: Work in sync with media buyers to hit key performance indicators, and don the buyer’s hat when it’s time to guide campaigns to success.
- Ensure Document Excellence: Maintain the highest quality for all media-related documents, guaranteeing their accuracy and clarity.
- Refine and Adjust: Continuously evaluate and adjust media strategies based on campaign data, optimizing for the best outcomes.
- Cultivate Key Relationships: Build and maintain robust networks with clients and vendors, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Stay Informed and Innovative: Keep abreast of the latest media trends and technologies, ready to weave innovative practices into our strategies.
- Foster Vendor Relations: Engage constructively with media representatives to uncover new opportunities and enhance collaborations.
- Analyze Performance: Leverage tools like Google Data Studio to monitor and review campaign effectiveness, ensuring strategies are on target.
- Guide with Data: Make informed decisions based on comprehensive analysis, driving strategic improvements for stellar results.
- Expand Our Reach: Actively contribute to new business pitches with your media expertise, helping to grow our client base.
- Mentor the Next Generation: Share your wealth of knowledge on media planning and buying with the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 2-4 years of media planning experience within an agency setting.
- Familiarity with media planning tools such as STRATA, SQAD, SRDS, and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of planning retail media networks (Amazon, Walmart, Instacart)
- Proficient in programmatic buying platforms such as The Trade Desk
- Proficient in Social Ad Platforms (including Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, and Reddit).
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Workamajig, and Google Campaign Manager 360.
- Strong multitasking abilities, critical thinking, and capacity to work well under pressure.
- A team player with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative, independent problem-solving skills and a passion for mathematics.
- Proficient in public speaking, with the ability to present ideas and plans clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office and media-related software
- Knowledge of current industry trends and developments
