Director of Operations

The Health Club, a brand new 20,000 square foot, state of the art fitness and wellness facility is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to organize and lead day to day operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new health club brand at the ground floor with virtually limitless growth potential.

Total compensation will range from $80,000 to $150,000, deepening on experience, qualifications and achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and rolling out club pre-sales strategies (opening slated for Jan 2025)
• Lead efforts in hiring trainers, instructors, and front desk staff
• Oversee all aspects of club operations, including membership sales, facility maintenance, and staff management
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and achieve the quarterly business plan
• Develop and implement club systems to follow and train staff by
• Assist ownership in managing the clubs’s financial budget, including expenses, wages, and revenue
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Manage and motivate a team of employees to achieve performance goals

Given the small, nimble and entrepreneurial nature of the Company, the above roles and responsibilities are fluid and subject to change periodically within reason.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a management role within the fitness or hospitality industry
• Proven track record of achieving and maintaining revenue and membership targets
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of health club operations and industry trends
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
