We’re hiring a Senior Editor to help scale and streamline our content production.
You’ll be responsible for executing on our content roadmap, maintaining our high editorial standards, and managing a team of freelance writers and editors. You’ll need to juggle multiple projects, move quickly, and bring calm and order to a fast-moving team.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and takes pride in clean copy and efficient workflows. You’ve led editorial teams before—especially freelance contributors—and know how to manage deadlines, provide meaningful feedback, and keep the content machine running on schedule.
You should also have a working knowledge of pickleball. You don’t need to be a pro, but you do need to understand the game, the culture, and the needs of pickleball players.

What You’ll Do
- Manage the day-to-day production of our content
- Assign, edit, and publish content from a team of freelance writers and editors
- Keep projects organized and moving across multiple content types (gear, instructional, news, features, etc.)
- Own our editorial workflow: from pitch to publish
- Ensure every piece of content meets our editorial guidelines and brand voice
- Work with the Head of Content to optimize for SEO and conversion
- Review content performance data and suggest improvements
- Help recruit, onboard, and manage freelancers as we grow the team
- Maintain a bias for action—we’d rather move fast and improve than wait for perfection
Who You Are
- Experienced in editorial management. 4+ years of editorial experience, including managing freelancers and editing at scale
- Organized. Outstanding organization and project management skills—you live by the calendar
- Leader. Clear, concise communicator who gives strong, constructive editorial feedback
- A true picklehead. You’re familiar with pickleball—you play regularly and get what players care about
- Up-to-date. Strong understanding of SEO, especially around content structure and formatting
- Eagle-eyed. High editorial standards and sharp attention to detail
- Adaptable. Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly
- Tech-savvy. Comfortable with Google Docs, CMS platforms, task/project management tools (e.g. Notion, AirTable)
- Based in the U.S. Working regular business hours (flexible on which U.S. timezone).

- Interview with our Head of Content Andrew (45 minutes)
- A take-home test project (3-4 hours)
