As Tax Manager, you will manage tax compliance and reporting across our jurisdictions, including local, state, federal, and international levels. This position requires expertise in ASC 740 Accounting and offers exposure to tax research, planning, and response to inquiries and audits. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review various federal, state, and international tax returns, including income, sales & use, and VAT returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Coordinate with external accounting firms as needed.
  • Manage registrations in different jurisdictions to ensure compliance with tax filing requirements.
  • Take responsibility for ASC 740 accounting, ensuring accurate tax provision calculations and disclosures for quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Perform tax research to analyze the impact of transactions on federal, state, and foreign tax liabilities and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to government inquiries and audits.
  • Lead the tax provision process, including coordination with the external audit team.
  • Research and document findings related to federal, state, and international income tax matters and their impact on income tax provision calculations.
  • Prepare federal corporate income tax returns, state separate entities and combined/consolidated tax returns, and Forms 5471 and 8858 for international subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and oversee the issuance of tax forms, including 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-K, and Form 3921, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and stay updated on developments in the field.
  • Prepare appropriate documents for business compliance (e.g., business licenses, census reporting).
  • Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as directed.

You are a highly skilled and detail-oriented tax manager with extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy. Expert in navigating complex tax regulations and ensuring organizational adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws. Adept at managing tax reporting and filing processes, conducting thorough tax research, and identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency. Known for strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to provide strategic tax insights that drive business growth and optimize financial performance. Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Excels in dynamic environments, effectively leading tax teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments to support overall organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; master’s degree preferred or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, including work on compliance, tax accounting, research, and planning for companies/clients with international operations.
  • Strong experience in income tax provision calculations and ASC 740 related disclosures.
  • Proficiency in general corporate taxation issues, including consolidated returns, accounting methods, and return preparation.
  • Proficiency with tax compliance software (preferably Avalara), NetSuite, Excel, and G-Suite tools
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
