The Sr. Manager of Clinical and Sales Events leads a team focused on North American trade shows, Dentsply Sirona World, the Canadian and Charlotte based dental academies, as well as, all clinical education and sales events.
- Manage and lead all aspects of the North American events teams that include annual event strategy in coordination with commercial units goals and objectives.
- Plan and manage large North American events including Dentply Sirona World, National Sales Meeting and Presidents Club incentive trip
- Leadership of all North American events across all business units and geographies in close collaboration with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Sales and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze and iterate to increase success, create and manage regular measurement, reporting and insights around impact of events.
- Build and manage North American events budget, including large events, trade shows, and regional/local events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies and vendors for all aspects of event planning and execution.Drive world class excellence in meetings and events across North America and optimize digital capabilities to meet business objectives in this continually changing environment.
- Establish and manage effective processes, meetings and milestones and regularly communicate deadlines and interdependencies.
- Manage a team of Event Planners and facilitate weekly 1:1 meetings to track progress.
- Participate in the hiring process for vacant positions and act as the lead for onboarding and training.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to track and provide feedback on performance for all team members.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to the latest policies and practices of DS as they relate to fiscal and event financials.
- Prepare and communicate schedules, meetings and ensure deadlines are met. Ensure commercial units are meeting deadlines for successful event production.
- Prepare and maintain materials and presentations as well as event collateral and marketing material.
- Assist Event Planners with coordinating and collaborating with vendors to execute logistics for events including budget, infrastructure, lighting, sound, hotels, food and beverage, etc.
- Assist Event Planners with coordinating the vendor contract process for assigned events to ensure that each site is following DS best practices, guidelines and procedures. Track vendors’ adherence to contractual obligations and perform as agreed upon.
- Event travel is required (approximately 30%).
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Years and Type of Experience:
- 10 years + of event/project management experience
- Dental industry experience a plus
Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:
- 2+ years developing data-driven strategy development for large scale events, preferably at a high-growth technology company or life sciences company
- Direct experience and ownership of producing various-sized events and budgets
- Project management expertise
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple stakeholders and concurrent programs
- Resourceful, self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem-solve, improvise and function as part of a team that must perform under pressure
- Cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external partners and display excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, including the ability to effectively delegate work across virtual teams and build strong peer relationships
- Capability to work independently and with minimal direction, while showing initiative and delivering results that will wow your peers and leaders
- A strategic process-driven approach to managing programs for scale
The base salary and target annual incentive for this role is between $150,000 – $190,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
