Overview
Carolina Golf Club is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented professional to serve as Director of Communications & Member Services. This role oversees the Club’s internal communications, membership administration, and member-facing support functions.
The position plays a central role in coordinating communication between Club leadership, staff, members, and prospective members while maintaining the systems and processes that support membership operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced private club environment while delivering a high level of service to members.
Key Responsibilities
Club Communications
- Manage and distribute all club-wide communications using the Northstar Club Management system.
- Develop, edit, and produce the Club’s monthly Ross Chronicles newsletter, coordinating written contributions from multiple departments.
- Capture and curate photography from club events and tournaments for use in newsletters, website updates, and member communications.
- Create visual materials and digital content using design tools such as Canva.
- Ensure all communications maintain consistent branding and formatting standards.
Membership Administration
- Manage membership applications and maintain accurate and confidential member and prospect records.
- Oversee the Club’s prospective member waitlist and assist with tracking applicants through the membership review process.
- Coordinate and prepare materials for membership committee meetings and related presentations.
- Organize and support prospective member events and membership-related functions.
Member Services
- Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries, assisting with a wide variety of requests and directing members to appropriate staff when needed.
- Provide timely responses and support to ensure a high level of member satisfaction.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive member information.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for office technology, IT support, and facility-related needs.
- Maintain organized records and digital filing systems related to membership and communications.
- Support various club initiatives, events, and administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in communications, administration, hospitality, or related fields.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in the private club or golf industries perferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, hospitality, business administration, or similar required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Google Workspace
- Northstar Club Management Software (or similar CRM/member system)
- Canva or similar design platforms
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working closely with members and club leadership. This position requires someone who can balance structured administrative responsibilities with a member-focused service mindset while maintaining strong attention to detail in communications and records management.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $79,000.00 per year
