We’re seeking a sharp, fast-moving, strategic storyteller to concept, capture, and create short-form video, imagery, and copy for social, web, and email. This role involves frequent in-state travel to events, towns, festivals, and partner shoots, producing both social-first and brand-level content in North Carolina.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who brings ideas, plans strategically, and delivers high-quality content quickly. Must be confident presenting to clients, collaborating with strategy, creative, and content teams, and ensuring all work supports brand and business goals.
Responsibilities include shooting and repurposing content, partnering with video production, supporting agency communications, and capturing PR events. You’ll manage large volumes of footage, write post copy, build content calendars, track trends and performance, and plan travel to maximize capture opportunities.
We’re looking for more than someone who “makes TikToks” — we need a strategic partner to develop and execute a short-form content strategy that adapts to the evolving social landscape.
What You’ll Do:
- Travel across North Carolina (up to 40% overnight) to capture social and digital content, including partner program shoots and PR events.
- Produce organic and brand-level content — shooting new assets, repurposing existing ones, and collaborating with the video team to plan and execute shoots.
- Develop, produce and edit short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, plus static visuals for digital platforms.
- Write social copy, video supers, headlines, and agency communications in brand voice.
- Build and manage a short-form content calendar, integrating timely, reactive posts and trend-based ideas.
- Monitor performance data and social trends, applying insights to optimize content.
- Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to align content with brand and campaign goals, ensuring accuracy, quality and brand consistency.
- Create SEO-friendly web content, support email campaigns, and design social assets in Figma.
- Organize and tag large volumes of video for easy reuse, and present content strategies and recaps to internal teams and clients.
- Plan travel itineraries that maximize multi-channel content capture.
What You Bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience with a strong portfolio in short-form and static digital content
- Proficient in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut), design tools (Canva, Photoshop), and Figma for social graphics
- Skilled in in-app creation for TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms
- Exceptional copywriting with strong tone awareness
- Working knowledge of SEO and email best practices
- Highly organized; detail-oriented; able to manage deadlines, assets, and multiple projects independently
- Thrives in fast-paced, travel-heavy environments, and is adept at juggling shoots and edits
- Experience with content calendars, editorial schedules, and strategic content planning aligned to brand goals
- Able to adapt strategies to platform changes and leverage advanced AI video tools
- Strong presenter of creative and strategy to clients and teams
- Passionate about storytelling, travel, and authentic, people-focused content
- Must reside in North Carolina for travel requirements
