We are looking for an Accounting Manager for Carolina Select Brands, LLC (dba Reids Fine Food), Reid’s Worthington, LLC (dba Salted Melon) and Lebowski’s Neighborhood Grill, LLC.

The Accounting Manager will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting and Human Resources departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting for 3 legal entities
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training for the accounting and human resources department
  • Manage accounting staff and assign daily and monthly tasks including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Payroll reconciliations
    • Revenue and expense variance analysis
    • Capital assets reconciliations and depreciation calculations
    • Monthly Balance Sheet and General Ledger reconciliations
    • Maintain budget in accounting software and assist with complex budget excel files
  • Human Resource Department will report directly to this position
    • Manage staff and assign daily and monthly tasks
    • Ensure payroll is completed and maintain appropriate financial controls
    • Responsible for ensuring payroll is properly integrated with accounting module to book labor expenses

A successful Accounting Manager is exceptionally organized and detail oriented, with the ability to tackle both the small details and bigger picture items.  You will complete multiple tasks daily, handle last minute needs often: all while communicating well with all audience levels.

This is a supervisory roll that will also require extensive detail work.

Education and Experience:

At least ten years proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager including:

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and POS software for retail and restaurant (experience with R365 and Toast would be extremely helpful)
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to teach others
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws. and regulations
  • Prior supervision of human resources
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Hospitality or restaurant experience is highly preferred
