We are seeking a  Director of Marketing  to join our team.

The Director of Marketing is responsible for all activities relating to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets as well as marketing communications and public relations.

Specific responsibilities include market assessment; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; communications and public relations both external and internal, and hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing team.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates, implements, and measures the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations plan and budget that will enhance OrthoCarolina’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
  • Develop a strategic Brand and Performance annually for the organization
  • Oversee and directs the marketing team as a cross functional partner for the organization
  • Directs editorial content, design, production and distribution of all OrthoCarolina content. (including approving agency work for sponsorships, advertising, and public relations)
  • Builds, develops and manages marketing team capable of carrying out the marketing and service strategies needed.
  • Creates, implements, and measures the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations plan and budget that will enhance OrthoCarolina’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
  • Leads the digital strategy, including privacy and compliance requirements, for the organization
  • Trains, mentors, coaches the Marketing team and promote professional development opportunities.
  • Direct engagement with senior leadership and C-Suite executives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, healthcare administration, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the healthcare setting. With a minimum of 5 years people management experience with strong mentoring and demonstrated team leader skills.

Skills And Abilities:

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations plans and activities.
  • Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotion/advertising.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior-level executives, physicians, leaders and staff.
  • Strong writing, creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
  • Demonstrated management of agency relationships and successful experience writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications, online content, and events.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead and get results.
