The Vice President, Investor Relations position is a critical leadership role at Krispy Kreme, and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The individual in this role will work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other members of the leadership team, to help design and communicate the company’s strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives in a way that creates clarity, consistency, and understanding among investors and analysts.
The Vice President, Investor Relations will be in day-to-day contact with the investment community, including current shareholders, potential shareholders, buy-side, and sell-side analysts. The Vice President, Investor Relations serves as the primary liaison between management/Board and investors, in order to effectively communicate the company’s position within the competitive landscape.
A taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Create and manage conference calls, key messages and talking points for senior management, prepare comprehensive Q&A, and follow up with investment community in a timely manner
- Attract and retain new and current investors, including implementing a targeting program that will broaden the shareholder base.
- Serve as the company’s focal point for ensuring a deep appreciation and understanding of Krispy Kreme’s strategy and valuation to the investor community.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships of trust and respect with analysts, investors, institutions, regulators, and rating agencies.
- Communicate business performance and expectations to investor community via analyst meetings, investor conferences, individual shareholder meetings, conference calls, videos, website content, press releases, presentations, etc.
- Understand, monitor, and analyze financial models used by analysts to value and evaluate the company.
- Lead non-deal road shows, investor conferences, investor perception studies and investor day communications.
- Serve as an advisor and strategic resource to the CFO, CEO and other senior leaders on issues involving the public distribution of financial, strategic, and other material disclosures.
- Understand the company’s shareholder mix and associated dynamics. Advise management regarding the impact of business strategies and initiatives on the shareholder base.
- Conduct competitive analysis, including the development of industry and peer company performance benchmarks. Inform, educate, and coach the senior leadership team regarding short-term and long-term dynamics of the investment and trading marketplaces, as well as regulatory activities.
- Contribute to company’s shareholder proxy solicitation process and annual shareholders meeting.
- Develop and manage company’s investor relations section of the website.
- Maintain relationship with Nasdaq and notify them for any events
Your recipe for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business or related field required, with master’s degree in business administration strongly preferred
- The successful candidate should have 10 or more years of broad-reaching, finance driven investor relations experience or a combination of experience in the banking community or FP&A and Treasury experience coupled with senior level corporate investor relations experience.
- A proven track record and demonstrated ability in appropriately influencing the thinking of others, and effectively lead and evolve the investor relations function to support advancing future business initiatives
- A strong understanding of business financials, analytics and strategy
- Possess strong communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships across an enterprise, both at the corporate leadership team level and throughout a global organization.
- A proven, successful track record in developing and managing highly credible relationships with Wall Street and analysts
- Boardroom presence, the ability to interpret and translate complex finance issues into concise and actionable data.
- Brings a strong leadership profile and comfortable leading change. Effective at engaging, developing, and motivating a team and organization
- Strong relationship skills to ensure success in fast-paced, evolving, and challenging business environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with robust presentation skills
- Ability to see the bigger picture, yet able to recognize similarities/inconsistencies at the detail level.
- Travel Requirements: up to 50%
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
