The Opportunity
We’re seeking a visionary President to lead Highland Falls through its launch phase and into rapid national expansion. This is a rare chance to take the helm of a purpose-built cannabis beverage company at its inception — with the backing, infrastructure, and ambition to scale fast.
As President, you will define and drive the company’s strategic roadmap, shape a high-performance team, and establish Highland Falls as a market leader in THC-infused beverages. This role reports directly to the founders and offers significant leadership autonomy and influence over brand, operations, and distribution strategy.
This is a full-time executive position. While our headquarters are in Charlotte, NC, we are open to remote candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute company vision, business plans, and growth strategies, including national distribution, brand positioning, and regulatory navigation.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, manufacturing, compliance, sales, and go-to-market execution.
- Revenue Growth: Build strategic partnerships, lead customer acquisition, and develop a multi-state distribution model drawing on experience from alcohol and/or CPG channels.
- Financial Stewardship: Own budgeting, forecasting, and capital efficiency. Report directly to the board and co-founders on company performance.
- Team Building: Recruit and lead a high-performing cross-functional team aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
- Brand and Market Positioning: Shape the voice, identity, and consumer perception of Highland Falls in both retail and DTC channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven Leadership: 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, ideally as President, GM, COO, or SVP in beverage or CPG.
- Alcohol Beverage Distribution Expertise: Deep understanding of route-to-market dynamics, distributor management, and national expansion in highly regulated industries.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Experience scaling brands from early-stage to significant market share; scrappy, solutions-oriented, and fearless.
- Cannabis Familiarity a Plus: Working knowledge of THC regulatory environments (Delta-9 specifically) is highly preferred.
- People-First Leader: Skilled at motivating and aligning teams, building culture, and managing growth without losing agility.
