Charlotte Center City Partners is looking for an exceptional writer, editor, and storyteller to help shape the voice of an organization working every day to build a more vibrant, welcoming, and beloved Center City.
The Communications Director will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and shape how we communicate with stakeholders, our boards and committees, media and the broader community. You’ll craft major organizational messages, develop editorial content, support executive and corporate communications, and help ensure our voice is consistent across every platform and audience.
This is more than a communications role. It’s an opportunity to help shape how Charlotte understands Uptown and South End. You’ll tell stories that celebrate neighborhoods and small businesses, explain complex initiatives, support civic leadership, and communicate the vision of an organization working to make Uptown and South End more vibrant, inclusive, economically strong, and memorable for everyone.
A note about AI: We believe technology should amplify creativity, not replace it. We’re looking for someone who is excited to explore new tools, including AI, while bringing the judgment, curiosity, and originality that great communications require.
