Bankrate’s BI team is the connective tissue between raw data and the decisions that drive the business. As Manager of Business Intelligence, you’ll lead a team of analysts, own a portfolio of high-visibility reporting and analytics initiatives, and serve as the bridge between stakeholders and the data foundation we’re building. This is a player-coach role; you’ll be doing real analytical work alongside your team, not just managing it.

*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of 2-4 BI analysts across assigned verticals
  • Own end-to-end delivery of dashboards, data models, and ad hoc analysis – primarily in Looker and Databricks and other proprietary systems.
  • Serve as the primary BI point of contact for several business categories
  • Translate ambiguous business and data questions into structured analytical problems and ship answers fast
  • Partner with data engineering on pipeline work, schema changes, and data quality issues
  • Spot gaps in coverage, documentation, and process – and fix them proactively
  • Support the Head of BI in roadmap planning, stakeholder prioritization, and team capacity management
  • Stay in the work – this role requires hands-on contribution, not just oversigh

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in analytics or BI, with at least 1-2 years leading or mentoring other analysts
  • Strong SQL; comfort in Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
  • Looker and data modeling experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting paid and earned media is a plus – we touch every area of the business and need someone who can flex across verticals
  • Proven ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities
  • Enough business acumen to know what questions matter before someone asks them
  • Clear communicator – written, verbal, and in the data itself
  • Experience in digital media, financial services, or performance marketing is a plus

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 – $185,000 per year

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.
