Aviation Metals has spent the last 50 years building a reputation as one of the aerospace industry’s most trusted specialty metals distributors. As a family-owned company, we’ve built our business on long-term relationships, problem-solving, responsiveness, and doing what we say we’re going to do. We’re entering an exciting new chapter of growth, including a move to our new Pineville headquarters, investment in our brand, and an increased focus on expanding our presence throughout the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and industrial markets.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Lead who wants more than a traditional marketing role.

This is an opportunity to build something. You’ll work directly with company leadership to shape how Aviation Metals is seen by customers, suppliers, employees, and the broader industry. You’ll uncover stories worth telling, build relationships that create opportunities, develop campaigns that drive visibility, and help expands Aviation Metals position as a trusted and recognizable supplier in the specialty metals industry.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

We’re looking for a builder who can combine strategy, creativity, technology, and execution to help grow awareness, strengthen customer relationships, create meaningful engagement, and support revenue growth.

This role blends marketing, content creation, brand development, communications, event marketing, campaign execution, and lead-generation support. Today, this is an individual contributor leadership role. As Aviation Metals continues to grow, there is potential for the right person to help shape the future marketing function and grow into broader leadership responsibilities.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development

  • Create integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, website, trade show, and print channels.
  • Build marketing funnels that move prospects from awareness to engagement and support sales efforts.
  • Develop nurture campaigns, customer touchpoints, and content strategies.
  • Track campaign effectiveness and continuously improve results.

Content Marketing & Thought Leadership

  • Develop LinkedIn content, blogs, newsletters, case studies, videos, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Build content campaigns around customer stories, employee expertise, supplier partnerships, and industry trends.
  • Use traditional and AI tools to accelerate research, content creation, campaign development, and execution.

Brand & Communications

  • Maintain a consistent Aviation Metals brand voice.
  • Draft company announcements, press releases, customer stories, and leadership communications.

Digital Marketing & Website Growth

  • Coordinate website content updates and improvements.
  • Support SEO, analytics, and digital optimization initiatives.

Industry Visibility & Public Relations

  • Pursue trade publication opportunities, awards, and earned media.
  • Build relationships with industry associations and media contacts.

Trade Shows & Event Marketing

  • Lead Aviation Metals participation in trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Develop pre-event, event, and post-event marketing campaigns.

COMPENSATION:

Salary: $68,000 – $72,000 + Annual Bonus Eligibility + Benefits
