This role leads Advocate Health’s enterprise-wide university relations and campus recruiting strategy, serving as a key connector between academic institutions and operational leaders across the organization.

This role is responsible for designing and executing programs that attract, engage, and convert early career talent into long-term team members.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design and implementation of streamlined processes to build and optimize direct pipelines of early career talent. 
  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with colleges and universities to support clinical and non-clinical hiring needs. 
  • Ensures a strong Advocate Health presence at priority (Tier One) schools in collaboration with Workforce Development. 
  • Enhances intern, extern, apprenticeship, and residency programs to engage and employ students prior to graduation, aligning with defined career pathways. 
  • Tracks, analyzes, and improves program effectiveness to increase student-to-teammate conversion rates. 
  • Strengthens Advocate Health’s brand through recruitment marketing and by recommending new programs to expand early career hiring. 
  • Manages enterprise-wide university engagement and event participation, identifying target schools, career fairs, and local recruiting opportunities. 
  • Identifies and implements innovative strategies to enhance the candidate experience and improve sourcing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. 

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires a minimum of   3 years of experience in human resources   

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations that influence human resources, as well as related implications.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Resiliency and flexibility to deal with a rapidly changing and stressful environment.  
  • Excellent listening and consulting skills. Ability to develop operational partnerships, assess complex hiring issues and needs, and deliver appropriate recruiting solutions across a multiple client portfolio.   
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, training, and holding others accountable.   
  • Expertise in leading projects which include planning the life cycle of the project and identifying key project activities. Proven ability to develop sound proposals and successfully implement programs.   
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize multiple demands, and identify/solve problems creatively.   
  • Demonstrated ability to work and function in a complex corporate system environment. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a variety of candidates and leadership.   

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.  
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.  
  • Exposed to a normal office environment.

$106,184 – $159,328

  • Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
  • Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate’s job
  • Incentive pay for select positions
