Job Description

Within Corporate Communications, our Strategy & Insights (S&I) organization designs the global, data‑driven earned media strategy that advances Accenture’s reputation and business priorities. The CEO Positioning team plays a critical role in this mission by maximizing visibility for our Global CEO through strategic, insight‑led engagements with top‑tier media.

Accenture is seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and proactive media relations leader to join our CEO Positioning team. In this high‑impact role, you will:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a strategic earned media program designed to elevate Accenture’s Global CEO across Tier‑1 global media outlets (print, digital, broadcast).
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with influential journalists, producers, and editors; serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and proactive outreach.
  • Partner closely with Accenture’s Office of the CEO, senior executives, outside agencies, and Corporate Communications colleagues across Media Relations, Investor & Analyst Relations, Insights, Strategy & Planning, and Global/Regional M+C teams.
  • Provide expert counsel to senior leaders on media strategy, narrative opportunities, and reputational considerations.
  • Develop compelling storylines, talking points, briefing materials, executive messages, and media event strategies.
  • Identify high‑impact opportunities across the external environment to advance Accenture’s strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with S&I Insights colleagues to integrate analytics, measurement, and performance data into narrative strategy and decision‑making.
  • Support amplification and integration of Accenture’s Iconic Thought Leadership and CEO‑authored content.

Travel may be required based on CEO itinerary and major media events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in media relations, executive positioning, corporate communications, journalism, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with Tier‑1 business media, securing high‑impact earned media coverage
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience advising senior executives and navigating complex matrixed organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence and seasoned judgment.
  • Leadership presence: Excel at working with senior leaders and providing strategic counsel and collaboration on behalf of the CEO.
  • Adept at building and sustaining relationships with top‑tier media; well‑versed in the drivers of positive earned media at the CEO and enterprise level.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, including message development and content creation for executive platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex business, technology, and economic topics into compelling narratives.
  • High level of agility; thrives in fast‑moving and high‑stakes environments.
  • Confident self‑starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled at leveraging data and insights to refine strategy and improve outcomes.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

$132,500 to $234,100 annually
