As a key member of the Brand + Culture Marketing team, the Specialist supports Premier’s overall internal communications strategy and strategic brand marketing initiatives by helping deliver high-impact projects like paid media ad buys, branding campaigns and the daily execution of the internal employee newsletter, Premier Pulse.
The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that communications across all channels align with and reflect Premier’s brand tone and culture, driving consistency and engagement both internally and externally. This role plays a crucial part in shaping brand perception while keeping employees informed and aligned with Premier’s mission and vision.
The Specialist is a creative problem-solver who simplifies complex ideas into clear, impactful messages through creative writing and strategic use of technology and ensures that all communications are concise, engaging and aligned with Premier’s guidelines. A self-motivated and collaborative team member, the Specialist actively contributes to the planning and execution of internal communication and employee engagement strategies, making an integral impact on how Premier is perceived both within and outside the organization. This person will be part of an agile team and should be a strategic thinker and enjoys working in a group setting.
This is a hybrid position in which the Specialist will be expected to work onsite in our Charlotte, NC HQ 3 days/week.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1: Manage Premier Pulse Daily Employee Newsletter – 40%
- Responsible for the overall content management and execution of Premier’s daily employee newsletter, Premier Pulse.
- Key responsibilities include overall editorial management development and content planning process, maintaining an editorial calendar, managing the submission process, and day-to-day execution and distribution of the newsletter through our internal email software, Axios.
- Responsible for editing, reviewing and finalizing all Premier Pulse content, ensuring it aligns with Premier’s brand tone, voice and objectives, and engages employees.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to verify content, maintain consistency in tone and produce error-free newsletters.
- Ensures proactive planning with at least three weeks of content ready and documented in the content calendar.
- Produces high-quality, engaging and internally relevant content for employee audience through various internal channels — with a focus on grammar, tone and readability — to support content strategy and storytelling efforts.
- Proactively identifies and creates compelling, evergreen content that’s relevant to employees and writes copy that supports brand goals, initiatives and internal campaigns.
- Collaborates with departments to create engaging content that reflects Premier’s culture, employee programs, and business updates.
- Reviews and reports on internal channel analytics, including intranet traffic, email open rates/click rates and employee newsletter metrics and engagement. Can identify content trends to forecast preferred content topics within the organization.
- Displays effective time management, preparing multiple newsletter drafts in advance to streamline the review process.
Responsibility #2: Content Creation, Editing and Writing – 30%
- Writes engaging content to support brand goals, company initiatives, and multi-channel internal communication and marketing campaigns through a combination of channels, tools and techniques to inform, engage and inspire internal and external audiences.
- Reinforces Premier’s culture, mission, values and overall people strategy through the development of insightful and creative wordsmithing that supports brand goals and employee value proposition and showcases our organizational culture.
- Helps identify major target audience needs, and develops and deploys relevant content that positions Premier as a transformational industry thought leader and reinforces Premier’s culture and employee brand.
- Helps review and edit an assortment of internal/external communication materials for the company.
- Models communication best practices and maintains internal communications guidelines and processes to ensure aligned, cohesive brand voice, tone and messaging.
Responsibility #3: Brand Marketing Strategy / Project Management and Collaboration – 30%
- Serves as a project manager for omni-channel brand marketing campaigns and internal initiatives, ensuring timely execution of marketing efforts. May support multiple strategic priorities at the same time.
- Collaborates with departments to align communications with company branding strategies and support assist with national paid media efforts.
- Proactively manage communication workflows, including monitoring deadlines and actively contributing to meetings.
- Engages in continual learning in support of the understanding of Premier, healthcare, and brand / culture marketing communications.
- Build collaborative relationships with other marketing teams, communications, technical service and legal departments to ensure business requirements are met, insights leveraged, and content approved to brand standards.
- A basic understanding of account-based knowledge as you will leverage that for some key priority initiatives.

Skills:
- Experience in brand marketing / strategy and/or communications
- Strong writing / editing skills, AP style experience
- Project management experience – highly organized, detail oriented, can manage a variety of projects and deadlines, etc.
- B2B communications / marketing experience
- Experience in developing / supporting engaging communication content and platforms (intranet, email software etc.)
- Content Creation / Strategy (daily/weekly newsletters)

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees.
Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $51,000 – $95,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
