Elisabeth Rose is a premier event production and experiential design agency specializing in custom environments, brand activations, live events, installations, and bespoke product fabrication.
We are seeking a Production Director to join our senior leadership team and oversee the day-to-day execution of our production operations.
This role is responsible for translating approved creative and client scope into clear production plans, schedules, staffing strategies, and on-site execution. This is a leadership position, but it is also a hands-on production role. The Production Director will be expected to actively support fabrication, warehouse preparation, installs, strikes, and on-site production as needed.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, decisive, experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects, and comfortable both leading a team and working alongside it.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the master production schedule across multiple active projects
- Develop production timelines, milestones, staffing plans, and resource requirements
- Oversee workflow across production, fabrication, warehouse, installation, and strike
- Assign work and establish clear priorities for internal teams and freelance labor
- Coordinate purchasing, rentals, sourcing, logistics, and outside vendors
- Identify production risks, scheduling conflicts, and resource gaps in advance
- Lead production meetings and maintain accountability across teams
- Partner with Creative, Client Services, and Technical leadership to ensure projects are executable and delivered as approved
- Provide hands-on production support during builds, warehouse preparation, load-ins, installations, events, and strikes as required
- Step into active production work when deadlines, staffing, or project needs require additional support
- Maintain high standards for quality, efficiency, safety, and presentation
- Develop and improve internal production systems and processes as the company grows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, fabrication, live events, operations, construction, or a related field
- 3+ years of team leadership or management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong scheduling, staffing, logistics, and resource-management skills
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and production labor
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly and operate independently
- Comfortable working in warehouse, fabrication, production, and event-site environments
- Willing and able to perform hands-on production work when needed
- Proficiency with project-management and scheduling tools
Experience in scenic fabrication, trade shows, AV, construction, exhibit production, or large-scale live events is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is a strong operational leader who can see the full production picture while maintaining attention to detail. They are proactive, highly accountable, calm under pressure, and capable of creating structure across multiple moving parts.
This person leads from the front. They should be equally comfortable managing schedules and teams, coordinating vendors and logistics, and rolling up their sleeves to work alongside the production team when needed.
Schedule
- This is a full-time, in-person role based in the Mooresville area.
- Because of the nature of event production, occasional evenings, weekends, early mornings, and travel will be required.
Compensation
- Competitive, based on experience.
