Hello Thursday. It's swimsuit season, but as a blogger, I obviously had to sacrifice my chiseled body to taste test Harriet’s Hamburgers’ new breakfast sandwich. Whew. It’s intense.
"Turns out mornings are better with beef," co-owner Joe Haubenhofer texted me. "Because nobody ever woke up craving a bran muffin."
Weekends only. Plaza Midwood only. 9-11am. Sources say may or may not be healthy. Dad bod season! Anyways.

$14 Oli Italiano sandwich, OMG sooo damn tasty
| |
Opening soon: Olivelli Deli opens on Tuesday in NoDa’s former Reigning Doughnuts space.
Owners: The walk-up Italian deli is the brainchild of power couple Jamie and Jeff Tonidandel, who also own Supperland, Leluia Hall, Haberdish, Ever Andalo, and Growler’s Pourhouse.
-
Jeff spent the last few months perfecting the 6-sandwich menu.
-
Baking just 120 rolls per day, so expect them to sell out.
-
Olivelli Deli will also serve 4 different breakfast sandwiches.
Sandwich pick: Go with the $14 Oli Italiano. Made from imported Italian meats, it’s a contender for No. 1 best sandwich in Charlotte 👀
Soft serve: The couple invested in a premium $20K soft serve machine. Waffle cone will run $5. "We use real cream and eggs, nothing pre-mixed," Jamie told me.
Tiny scoop: Complimentary soft serve tasting this afternoon from 3-4pm!
