LPL Financial is seeking a SVP, Client Networks & Experiences to reimagine, scale, and lead our enterprise-wide strategy for connecting and engaging approximately 30,000 clients across our network. This people leader will design and develop community programming that drives strategic outcomes for the firm, including client retention, engagement, and growth, while shaping long-term innovation across digital and in-person experiences.

Reporting into senior leadership, this role blends strategic foresight with operational excellence. The SVP will define what client networks and community mean for LPL, set the enterprise vision, and drive execution across digital programming, affinity networks, signature events, and ongoing engagement channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
    • Define and own LPL’s Client Network strategy, aligning with firm priorities and long-term growth objectives.
    • Reimagine how personalization and tailored experiences meaningfully impact retention, engagement, and SSS growth.
    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional executives, shaping firmwide approaches to community, connection, and client lifecycle engagement.
    • Benchmark against best-in-class Fortune 500 community and engagement programs (e.g., professional networks, loyalty ecosystems, cross-portfolio community platforms).
  • Program Development & Execution
    • Lead the design and implementation of digital and in-person engagement programs, including forums, cohorts, affinity groups, and learning communities.
    • Oversee all community channels—including inclusion and belonging initiatives, councils, and user groups—ensuring they are integrated, measurable, and aligned with firm goals.
    • Strengthen Inclusion & Belonging communities and embed community insights into enterprise strategy.
    • Execute end-to-end experience delivery across major client touchpoints, including conferences, cohort events, and digital platforms.
  • Signature Events Leadership
    • Serve as the business lead for LPL’s Women’s Conference, with responsibility for strategic positioning, growth acceleration, content relevance, and differentiated client experience. This conference is recognized as one of the largest in the industry.
    • Oversee programming and engagement outcomes for all major LPL events that support client network building, including client network councils.
    • Ensure diversity of perspective, voice, and community representation is reflected across all programs and experiences.
  • Digital Experience & Innovation
    • Drive enhanced digital network programming, including platforms that enable peer connection, curated experiences, personalization, and actionable network insights.
    • Partner with technology, digital product, and analytics teams to establish scalable, measurable digital community ecosystems.
  • Measurement & Impact
    • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and insights frameworks to measure retention, engagement, growth, and overall community health.
    • Use data and member insights to continuously iterate and optimize programming.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility in community strategy, customer engagement, client networks, digital engagement, or related domains.
  • Demonstrated success leading community- or network-driven outcomes at scale, ideally within financial services, technology, professional networks, or large enterprises.
  • Interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust, engage deeply with clients, and translate insights into strategy and action.
  • Analytical background with the ability to interpret data, build performance dashboards, and drive data-backed decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.

Preferences:

  • Experience leading large-scale events and affinity programming.
  • Background in digital community platforms, personalization engines, and modern engagement ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of inclusion and belonging strategies and execution.
  • Financial services experience a plus.

Pay Range:

$173,851-$289,752 per year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
