Greenway Wealth Advisors is a growing firm dedicated to helping people turn high income into financial independence. Our ambition is to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with our clients and serve them in significant ways so they can focus on things that are more important than money.

We’re looking for an Associate Advisor to join our team to help us more effectively fulfill our mission. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, willing to work on client-facing and behind-the-scenes tasks and excited to work as part of a team. In addition, they’ll have excellent communication skills and an astute attention to detail. An ideal candidate will want to progress into a Senior Advisor role with our firm.

What you’ll do

• You’ll support our senior advisors and their clients working face-to-face, and behindthe scenes, to ensure assets are appropriately invested, and financial plans are complete, so our clients have a better chance of reaching their financial goals.
• You’ll have a deep understanding of our portfolio management (Advyzon) and financial planning (eMoney) systems, and you’ll also work closely with our custodians (Schwab, mostly).
• You’ll apply efficient market theory and the best ideas in finance to client portfolios utilizing passive portfolios, mostly from Vanguard, Dimensional, and Avantis.
• You’ll be a Greenway evangelist, growing our client base as we strive to make high-quality planning and investing available to a broader audience.
• You’ll work with our team to deliver consistent, excellent service to current and future clients.

What we’re looking for

• We want someone who has obtained the CFP® mark, or who would like to do so in the near future.
• We need someone who is incredibly well organized and a great communicator, both
  written and verbal.
• We need someone who has a heart for working with people, and is especially
  interested in the impact a well-crafted financial plan and investment strategy can
  have on someone’s life.
• It’s helpful if you’ve got experience with Gmail and Google Workspace, and a baseline knowledge of CRM software (don’t worry, ours is simple to use).
• We want someone who has a deep understanding of the financial industry, and the role that efficient market and modern portfolio theories have played. 1-3 years of work experience in the investment industry would be helpful.
• A degree from a 4-year university and some broad work experience with a desire to pursue a career in personal finance are important.

The Bottom Line

• This is a full-time role based in Charlotte, NC.
• Expected pay is variable depending on experience, but will include base pay plus bonus subject to firm growth and personal performance.
• We offer a 401(k) and health insurance, and contribute to an HSA on your behalf.
• Our schedules are flexible, no clocking in or clocking out, and you’ll be able to work remotely some of the time. We work hard to serve our clients well from anywhere.
• We offer paid vacation and parental leave, because work shouldn’t be the most
  important thing in your life.
• We encourage our employees to volunteer, and will provide paid time each month to pursue volunteer opportunities.
• We strive to donate 10% of our quarterly revenue to charity, and you’ll get to choose some of the recipients of the donation.
