Golf & Entertainment Marketing Consultant

Convey thought leadership and expertise in the sports and entertainment space, with a particular focus on golf marketing, to deliver best-in-class sponsorship and experiential marketing for Truist.

Manage elements of multiple golf sponsorship relationships and associated activations to drive excellence and deliver on strategic objectives for Truist.

This is a hybrid position, 4 days in office and 1 day remote.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.

• Develop and implement plans to execute business and enterprise marketing strategies and plans. 
• Work with Marketing leadership, Client Engagement, Centers of Excellence, and business leaders and managers, to deliver golf marketing programs to clients and prospects in key business markets and across the enterprise.
• Manage elements of multiple golf sponsorship property relationships with responsibilities including but not limited to fulfillment of all contractual assets, budget management, execution of strategic marketing programs to deliver on company goals and objectives, measurement and reporting on performance, etc.  
• Support Golf Marketing related efforts across both sponsorship/brand activation as well as client engagement.  
• Lead complex and visible projects with notable risk and complexity. Make decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives. 
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges.
• Develop and execute marketing programs to support the advancement of Truist’s purpose including but not limited to programs that enhance teammate and client experience and promote community engagement and volunteerism.  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training
• Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the Marketing discipline (e.g., Marketing P’s, Market research, analytics, digital)
• Experience working as a key contributor on projects or project work streams
• Knowledge of the industry’s competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market
• Ability to interpret and explain information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 
• Previous Customer service experience; Store operations, staff management, conflict resolution and crowd management
• Client services or Hospitality experience
