We’re building something special in South End: a high-energy sports lounge that blends the love of the game with the pulse of the neighborhood. Blinders is a place where game day energy meets modern technology and culture, where big screens pair with bold design, and where every event feels like the event to be at.
The Role: We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the charge on making our brand Charlotte’s go-to sports lounge and the neighborhood’s favorite hangout.
- The ideal candidate is a creative generalist with 2–4 years of in-house marketing experience, ideally in food & beverage, sports, or lifestyle spaces.
- You know your way around a campaign calendar, can write alluring messaging, get people to show up to a Tuesday night event like it’s the Super Bowl, and make sure we always feel fresh and relevant.
What you’ll do:
- Own and execute our marketing strategy across all channels: email, social, web, events, on and off-site and beyond
- Manage and execute brand storytelling through our social media content calendars, email newsletters, digital ad assets, and occasional blog/editorial content
- Monitor performance across channels and report wins, insights, and opportunities for growth
- Oversee and manage online presence including organic seo, paid digital ads, other
- Own events development, creating weekly, smaller events and larger bi-monthly moments
- Push our personality and brand forward through innovative creative campaigns that connect with both die-hard sports fans and their friends who are just along for the ride
- Take initiative with creative social media content creation: pitch reel/tiktok ideas, coordinate with the staff to film, edit and post!
- Drive branding through project management of necessary design assets like signage, flyers, digital assets, and branded content, march, other. Have tactical design experience? Even better!
- Partner with our Sales & Events Manager to bring energy and buzz to our private events, large-scale public events, making sure everyone has an experience to remember every single time
- Stay tapped into sports culture, pop culture, and South End trends and ensure our brand shows up authentically in all three
- Collaborate with our awesome third party PR company to highlight the goings on which helps them secure as much press coverage as possible
You might be a fit if you:
- Have 2–4 years of in-house marketing experience, ideally with a hospitality, sports, or lifestyle brand
- Are ultra-creative, with a strong eye for visuals, tone, and storytelling
- Know and love Charlotte’s South End scene and its demographic, and understand how to tap into what’s cool and culturally relevant
- Can talk sports stats and going ons, pop culture, and neighborhood happenings with equal fluency
- Are comfortable working across departments and collaborating on campaigns, events, and activations
- Are a Swiss army knife marketer—organized, strategic, and hands-on with execution
- Have some comfort with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and content scheduling platforms
Bonus Points:
- Experience launching or marketing a new venue or concept
- A knack for short-form copywriting and video content creation/editing
- Well-versed with trend-hacking, branding, influencers and trends
- Understanding of community engagement and are well-networked
Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000, based on experience
Location: Hybrid work environment that would include Blinders, our office in Ballantyne and work from home
Reports to: Owner and Operations Manager

Collaborates with: Ownership, Leadership and Third party agency for PR, marketing strategy (support) and (some) design.
