The Chief of Staff to the CEO is a strategic leadership role responsible for providing high-level support and assistance to the CEO and the Business Administration Executive in managing the organization’s operations, initiatives, and priorities.

This position involves collaborating closely with the CEO, Business Administration Executive, and executive team to drive organizational effectiveness, facilitate communication, and execute key strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.  

  • Executive Support: Provide anticipatory comprehensive support to the CEO and BAE acting as an extension of leadership in providing vision, direction, and expertise to identify and prioritize initiatives and key deliverables. Supporting the CEO and  (BAE)leadership team in budgeting, planning, and onsite support for client events and industry conferences.
  • Proactive Communication: Serve as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of priorities and initiatives.  Driving the agenda and approach for operating routines including executive leadership meetings. 
  • Project Management: Lead or support special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO and BAE, ensuring timely execution and delivery of results.  Preparing formal presentations for the CEO and BAE. Developing a strategic approach to client engagement that prioritizes target clients, leverages unique and impactful forums, and measures return on investment.
  • Decision Support: Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making processes for the CEO, BAE, and executive team. 
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to staff within the CEO’s office, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.  Ensure a fit for purpose CEO office utilizing AI and other tools for communication with clients, teammates, community leaders and directors.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and assess risks and opportunities related to the bank’s operations, providing recommendations to the CEO and BAE as needed.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with the CEO, BAE, and executive team to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation to drive operational excellence within the CEO’s office and across the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role supporting C-suite executives, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business or Management
